The Emmy Awards 2026, Celebrity Style: Women

The 78th Primetime Emmy Awards took place last night at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, celebrating the year's biggest television moments. The Emmys’ signature blue carpet always attracts the best-dressed television stars, and with streaming becoming an increasingly prestigious medium, it also drew movie stars who have recently dipped their toes into small-screen broadcasting. Plenty of couture gowns, sharp suits, glittering adornments, colour, sheer detailing, and old-school glamour abound. Let’s take a look at some of the standout ensembles from this year’s blue carpet.

Zendaya

Zendaya, nominated for her role as Rue in Euphoria, always steals the show on the red carpet. She didn’t disappoint last night in a semi-sheer, white, plunging sleeveless gown by Prada, adorned from top to bottom with intricate beadwork and dangling crystals. A train added a dramatic flourish, and a pixie cut and silver-toned jewellery completed the striking look.

Selena Gomez

Pop star and Only Murders in the Building star Selena Gomez donned a shimmering gold Louis Vuitton creation. The strapless dress featured gold embroidery that gave it an armour-like quality, and the circular side panels created a tiny-waist illusion. She styled her dark hair in old Hollywood waves, creating a contrast between traditional and modern styles.

Elle Fanning

Margo’s Got Money Troubles actress Elle Fanning wore a 90s-style shimmering embroidered silk chiffon mint green Ralph Lauren Collection floor-length slip dress with a V-shaped neckline and an elegant open back. The gown featured a shoulder tie made from the same fabric, flowing into delicate tassels.

Ayo Edebiri

Nominated for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for The Bear, Ayo Edebiri walked the blue carpet in a custom two-tone baby blue and fiery red Chanel gown. The ‘fire and ice’ sleeveless dress featured a form-fitting V-neck bodice and an ankle-length A-line skirt made with tiers of ruffles. The front of the dress was adorned with an oversized bow at the waist, and the open back was tied with a sash bow that trailed along the carpet. She finished the unusual outfit with silver sandal heels and pearl jewellery.

Chase Infiniti

Chase Infiniti, nominated for Lead Actress in a Drama Series for The Testaments, chose a custom copper- and maroon-toned beaded Louis Vuitton mermaid gown. The strapless dress featured a structural sweetheart neckline and a form-fitting body that flared out dramatically at the knees. The entire dress was covered in large, colour-shifting beads that created a textured, architectural look. She kept attention on her gown with minimal diamond jewellery and a simple, softly waved hairdo.
