The Golden Globe Awards 2026, Celebrity Style: Women

The 2026 Golden Globes kicked off award season on January 11, 2026, at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California. Hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser for the second year running, the ceremony celebrated the best of film and television in 2025. One Battle After Another led the film field with 9 nominations, winning 3, while Hamnet won Best Motion Picture, with Jessie Buckley grabbing the Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture for the film. Shockingly, this year's big film hit, Wicked: For Good, although receiving 5 nominations, came away empty-handed. The White Lotus led another stellar year for television, receiving 6 nominations, while Adolescence received 5 nominations and 4 wins, including Best Limited Series. Best Television Series – Drama was awarded to The Pitt, and The Studio won Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy.

The red carpet at the 2026 Golden Globes showcased opulence and classic Hollywood glamour. Many female stars leaned into a timeless, elegant aesthetic. They wore classic silhouettes and dramatic trains. Black and white gowns dominated, with the occasional pop of striking colour that set a star apart. Let's look at some of this year's best dressed women.

Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez's floor-length black velvet bustier Chanel gown was adorned with an abundance of flowers around the neckline. According to British Vogue, the flowers were crafted from feathers, organza, and silk chiffon. She completed the Old Hollywood look with a sleek, wavy bob and a deep berry-coloured lip.

Jenna Ortega

Wednesday actress Jenna Ortega wore Turkish designer, Dilara Findikoglu. Her Gothic-inspired gown had a turtleneck satin top embellished with sequins and beaded fringe on the shoulders and large cutouts that stretched from her armpits to her hips. The skirt was column-style, low-waisted, and featured a subtle train. Ortega kept her makeup and accessories simple to showcase the dress.
