This past Monday on 6th January, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association hosted The 77th Golden Globe Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. Beginning in 1944, the awards are bestowed by the over ninety members of the HFPA. The Globes honour film, both International and American, and American television shows. The film and television must air between 1 January and 31 December in the previous calendar year. Let’s take a look at the best-dressed men at the Golden Globes this 2020!
Leonardo DiCaprio
Leonardo DiCaprio looked dapper in a Giorgio Armani black single-breasted shawl lapel tuxedo. His white shirt had special ribbing detailing too. He was nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy but Taron Egerton won in the category.
Joaquin Phoenix
Actor Joaquin Phoenix wore a black Stella McCartney single-breasted thin shawl lapel tuxedo with jetted pockets. The lapel had contrasting silk detailing and he had his suit cut in a looser fit. Joaquin won the Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama for his role in Joker.
Brad Pitt
Actor Brad Pitt wore a three-piece single-breasted black tuxedo by Brioni. He wore slightly pointed wide lapels, a waistcoat with a lapel and black leather shoes. He was nominated this year for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture for Once Upon a Time…In Hollywood, winning the award over legends such as Tom Hanks, Anthony Hopkins, Al Pachino, and Joe Pesci.

Daniel Craig
James Bond and British actor Daniel Craig attended the Globes with his wife Rachel Weisz. He wore a smart double-breasted wide, notched-lapel black tuxedo with a crisp white shirt, black bow tie, and black leather shoes. He showed just the right amount of cuff and accessorised with a rose gold watch and pocket square. He was nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for the film Knives Out, which he lost to Taron Egerton’s performance in Rocket Man.
Tom Hanks
This year Tom Hanks was the recipient of the Cecil B. deMille Award which honours “outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment.” He wore a suave velvet tuxedo with silk contrasting shawl lapels and a white pocket square. He wore a classic tuxedo shirt and classic black leather tuxedo shoes.

Rami Malek
Rami Malek wore Saint Laurent. He was nominated for Best Performance by an Actor In A Television Series – Drama which he lost to Brian Cox.
Sacha Baron Cohen
Sacha Baron Cohen wore Monique Lhuillier. He was nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Limited Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television, which he lost to Russel Crowe.
