The 80th annual Golden Globe Awards took place on the 10th of January 2023. It was held at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California to honour the best in film and American television of 2022. Michelle Williams
Actress Michelle Williams, nominee for Actress in a Drama Motion Picture, hit the red carpet in a cream asymmetrical gown by Gucci. The ankle-length dress featured a long train and sensational oversized ruffles edged with silver. The cinched waist and thigh-high slit added even more shape and dimension to the already bold statement piece.
Ana de Armas
Ana de Armas, also a nominee for Best Actress for the biopic Blonde, looked stunning in a floor-length black silk Louis Vuitton bustier gown. The graphic front panel was embroidered with contrasting white sequins in a geometric pattern. She accessorised with delicate earrings and a small bracelet to allow the dress to shine to its full potential.
Michelle Yeoh
Michelle Yeoh, winner of the Award for Actress in a Musical or Comedy Motion Picture for Everything Everywhere All at Once, also chose a floor-length strapless gown for the red carpet. This time the dress was Armani Prive, had a peplum waistline and was covered in glittering midnight-blue sequins. She embellished the look with a stunning diamond necklace, a diamond ring, and a chunky bracelet composed of diamonds and emeralds. The jewellery added to the glamorous effect of the dress.
Anya Taylor-Joy
Nominee for The Menu, Anya, who is known for her bold fashion choices, donned a matching two-piece outfit from Dior. The yellow-gold bandeau top was held up by a back corsetted with thick ribbons that matched the ribbons tied around the waist of the floor-length wrap skirt. She complemented the look with yellow-gold and diamond Tiffany jewellery and a metallic manicure. Her platinum hair was left loose and simple, harmonising with her outfit's silhouette.
Jessica Chastain
Jessica Chastain, nominated for her role in George and Tammy, continued the strapless trend in a floor-length Oscar de la Renta gown. The dress had a rounded neckline, was cinched at the waist, and had a mermaid-style silhouette. The sheer gown, another hot trend this season, was covered in a spider web design of dazzling silver beads. She paired the outfit with a series of statement rings worn on one hand, and a low-slicked-back bun.
