The Golden Globes 2025: Men's Style
Share
Last night, the 5th of January, the 2025 award season kicked off in style with the 82nd Golden Globe Awards. The show was held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. Nominees and stars crowded the red carpet in their best outfits. On red carpets, it is the women who usually garner the most attention with their gorgeous gowns, and the men disappear into the background in their safe and traditional black tuxedos. However, there has been a noticeable change in men's ensembles recently. Although plenty of black suits still abound, many have been pushing the envelope and taking more risks. Let's take a look at some of the best-dressed men at this year's Golden Globes.
Eddie Redmayne
Eddie Redmayne, nominated for his part in the hit TV show The Day of the Jackal, is no stranger to eclectic red-carpet looks. Last night, he chose an eye-bending custom Valentino suit in black and ivory checks. He paired it with a matching ivory shirt with a mandarin collar.
Colman Domingo
Colman Domingo, nominated for Best Male Actor in a Film for Sing Sing, also likes to push boundaries with his fashion choices. His Valentino suit may have been black, but it certainly wasn't boring. His white and black polka dot shirt, tasselled scarf used as an enormous bow tie, satin cummerbund, and statement jewellery all elevated this look.
Jeff Goldblum
Acting legend Jeff Goldblum, representing one of the most anticipated films of the year, Wicked, also enjoys having fun with his style. He strutted the red carpet in a turquoise double-breasted Amiri jacket dripping with cascading crystals. His black flared trousers complemented his bejewelled black ribbon bow tie and black glasses, and he finished the look with diamond lapel pins.
Tyler James Williams
Tyler James Williams, representing the nominated television series Abbott Elementary, looked sharp in a grey pinstriped Dolce & Gabbana jacket and matching trousers. He daringly went shirtless under his jacket.
Jeremy Strong
The Apprentice nominee Jeremy Strong looked striking in a seafoam green Loro Piana velvet single-breasted suit and matching bucket hat. He combined it with orange-tinted aviator glasses and a cosy-looking, January-appropriate white turtleneck jumper.
