The Graham Norton Show 4 November 2022 - A Hand Tailored Suit

The Graham Norton Show 4 November 2022

For Episode 6 of Series 30 of The Graham Norton Show, Graham welcomed Irish actor Paul Mescal to talk about his critically acclaimed drama Aftersun. Actors Michaela Coel and Winston Duke appeared to chat about the anticipated Marvel sequel Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Graham greeted award-winning actress Emma Corrin. Writer and Comedian Richard Ayoade came on the show to discuss his new book, The Book That No One Wanted to Read, and Loyle Carner performed his latest single, Nobody Knows (Ladas Road). Let's take a look at some of the outfits from this week's show.

Graham Norton

At first glance this week, Graham appeared to be wearing a pretty traditional black striped suit. Looking closer, however, it was obvious that the suit matched his usual flamboyant style perfectly. It appeared that many suits had been cut up and pieced back together! The sleeves and left leg sported a black and wide white and blue striped pattern, while the right jacket panel and right leg had thin red and white stripes. The left jacket panel was different again, with a thick black and blue stripe, which was echoed on the right lapel. He combined this eclectic outfit with a white classic collar shirt and a clashing burgundy tie.

Paul Mescal

Paul Mescal is an Irish actor known for his role in the miniseries Normal People, for which he won a BAFTA. He has also starred in the psychological drama film The Lost Daughter.

On the show, Paul complimented Graham's striped look in a grey and white wide pinstripe peak lapel double-breasted suit. He paired it with a tan-coloured shirt that he left unbuttoned and with no tie for a less formal feel.

In this clip, Paul chats about signing a pair of sporty shorts for charity, and Graham teases him about the winner.

Emma Corrin

English actor Emma Corrin is famous for playing Diana, Princess of Wales, in the fourth season of the Netflix series The Crown. They won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Television Series Drama for their portrayal. Emma identifies as nonbinary and uses they/them pronouns.

During their interview, Emma chose a dark academia mixed with menswear style. Stripes seemed to be the theme of the evening as they donned a white shirt with brown stripes and a complementary dark and light brown striped tie. They layered this with a chocolate brown V-necked chenille sweater vest and a richer-brown coloured sleeveless peak lapel double-breasted thigh-length blazer, and brown shorts.

This clip shows Emma talking about their love of strange fashion.
