On 26 January 2020 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards ceremony was held, recognising the best recordings, compositions, and artists from 1 October 2018 to 31 August 2019 hosted by Alicia Keys.
The artist Lizzo received eight nominations, followed by Billie Eilish and Lil Nas X who each received six nominations. Eilish was the first artist (since Christopher Cross in 1981) to win in the four major categories: Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist.
