On The Late Late Show with James Corden, James welcomed Melissa McCarthy, Josh Groban, Zoe Saldaña, Kumail Nanjiani, Talk, Haley Lu Richardson, Michael McIntyre, Tegan and Sara, Margot Robbie, and Jean Smart. Let's take a look at this week's outfits from the show.

Melissa McCarthy and Josh Groban

Melissa McCarthy is an American actress, producer and fashion designer. She is most recognised for comedy films, such as Bridesmaids, Identity Thief, Tammy, and Spy. She has also appeared in the successful television series Gilmore Girls, Samantha Who?, Mike & Molly, and God's Favourite Idiot. She owns the production company On the Day Productions with her husband and a clothing line for plus-sized women named Melissa McCarthy Seven7.

On the show, Melissa looked very festive in a red, green and pink sequinned gown with a Christmas tree hat. The sparkly red bodice and left shoulder was decorated with fairy lights, faux poinsettias and green and pink ruffles that matched the layers of the skirt. To balance the top, the right sleeve cuff was also adorned with red and green ruffles.

American singer, songwriter and actor Josh Groban has released four solo albums and sold over twenty-five million records worldwide. As an actor, he is known for co-starring as Tony Caruso Jr. in the Netflix series The Good Cop. He has also appeared in the films Coffee Town, Muppets Most Wanted, The Hollars and Crazy, Stupid, Love.

During his interview, Josh wore a rich blue checked single-breasted suit with slim-fitting trousers and notch lapels in the jacket. He paired it with a dusty pink t-shirt that complimented the pink in the suit's checks and also made the look feel more relaxed. James also got into the festive spirit with Melissa in his bottle-green suit with a red tie. 

In this clip, the three celebrities share a glass of Melissa's favourite whiskey while she tells them how she became a partner in the company that produces it. She then tells a story about a party where she gave Christina Aguilera a ride around the living room. Josh talks about how drinking makes him want to dance when he knows he's not great at it!

 

 

Margot Robbie and Jean Smart

Margot Robbie is an Australian actress and producer. She began her career in the famous Australian Soap Opera Neighbours before moving into film. Her breakthrough role was in 2013 in The Wolf of Wall Street opposite Leonardo DiCaprio. She is most recognised for her role as Harley Quinn in the DC films Suicide Squad, Birds of Prey, and The Suicide Squad. Robbie has also starred in other highly successful films, including I, Tonya, Mary Queen of Scots, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and Bombshell. She received an Oscar nomination for Best Actress for her role in I, Tonya. Margot co-founded the production company LuckyChap Entertainment.

On the programme, Margot donned a pyjama-inspired outfit in white satin with high-waisted wide-legged trousers, a loose and flowy jacket, and a tucked-in camisole top.

American actress Jean Smarts's career has spanned five decades. She is known for her roles in television series such as Frasier, Samantha Who?, 24, Fargo, Legion, Watchmen, Mare of Easttown, and Hacks. She has also appeared in many films, including The Brady Bunch Movie, Sweet Home Alabama, Garden State, I Heart Huckabees, Youth in Revolt, The Accountant, and A Simple Favor.

On the show, Jean looked glamorous in a jewel-toned blue knee-length dress with a long train in the back. The dress featured a high neck with a collar and buttons down the front. The puff sleeves, hem, and placket were edged in a tiny blue pompom trim. Her blue ring and dangly earrings complemented the outfit perfectly. James wore his rusty-orange suit with a contrasting light blue club collar shirt and a darker blue tie.  

This clip shows Jean talking about being invited to New Year's Eve in Times Square. Margot tells a story about a trick she played on a babysitter, and Jean explains why she's known as the "Thug Whisperer".
