On The Late Late Show with James Corden, James welcomed Maggie Gyllenhaal, Cynthia Erivo, Kimberly Clark, Pamela Adlon, Taika Waititi, Pinegrove, Colin Farrell, Patrick Stewart, Nick Cave, Camila Cabello, Nathan Lane, Ed Helms, Rachel Brosnahan and Samm Henshaw. Let's take a look at some of the outfits on the show this week.

James Corden

On the show this week, James wore an olive green wide notch lapel suit with a pastel yellow shirt and dark blue tie.  

Later in the week, he dressed in a bottle green suit with peak lapels. He combined it with a white classic collar shirt and an olive green tie. 

 

Maggie Gyllenhaal and Cynthia Erivo

Maggie Gyllenhaal is an American actress, filmmaker and sister to actor Jake Gyllenhaal. She is well known for her roles in Donnie Darko, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, Mona Lisa Smile, Secretary, World Trade Center, The Dark Knight, Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang, and White House Down. In 2021 she wrote and directed the film, The Lost Daughter, which won Venice International Film Festival's Best Screenplay Award and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.

On the show, Maggie wore a black tuxedo-style suit with beautiful satin shawl lapels and matching satin stripes on the outside seam of the trousers. Underneath, she donned a revealing black lacy camisole top. She paired the look with bright red high heeled pumps to match her lipstick.

English actress, singer and songwriter Cynthia Erivo is famous for the films,  Widows, Bad Times at the El Royale and Harriet. She has also starred in the television series Chewing Gum, The Outsider, and Genius: Aretha. She received an Oscar nomination for Best Actress for Harriet. She wrote and performed the song, Stand Up on the soundtrack of the same film, which also won her an Oscar nomination for Best Original Song. 

During her appearance, Erivo dressed in an oversize multi-coloured paisley patterned suit jacket over top of a gold jacquard mini-dress. The dress' colour complemented the gold in the jacket. She combined the look with nude calf-length boots and accessorised with pointy orange tip nails, multiple chunky rings and large silver hoop earrings.

In this clip, Cynthia describes her role in the new series, Roar. Maggie discusses whether she would like to direct her brother, Jake. And James declares that Jake Gyllenhaal is the best smelling man he's ever met!

 

Pamela Adlon and Taika Waititi

Pamela Adlon is an American actress, comedian, screenwriter and producer. She is best known as the voice of Bobby Hill in the animated television series King of the Hill. Her other voice roles include Bobby's World, Rugrats, Recess, and Bob's Burgers. She has also appeared in Californication, Louie, and  Better Things. Her film roles include Grease 2, Say Anything..., Bed of Roses, Lucky 13, Conception, I Love You, Daddy, All Square, Bumblebee, and Holler.  

On the programme, Adlon dressed in a black pinstripe suit jacket with notch lapels. She paired it with plain black trousers and a dark blue long-sleeved t-shirt. She accessorised very minimally with just a watch and a black leather wrist cuff with a gold bead fastening. Her beautiful glossy dark hair was parted in the middle and left loose and unstyled. The whole outfit was smart but comfortable. 

New Zealand filmmaker, actor and comedian Taika Waititi is most famous for co-writing, co-directing, and starring in the film What We Do in the Shadows. The film was made into a television series of the same name. He directed Thor: Ragnarok. He also wrote, directed and starred in Jojo Rabbit, which was nominated for six Oscars and won Best Adapted Screenplay. 

On the show, Taika wore a dark blue slim-fitting notch lapel suit. His shirt was bright yellow with a pattern of white leaves outlined in black and unbuttoned at the collar for a laid back feel. On his feet, he wore tan leather ankle boots. 

This clip shows Pamela and Taika taking a quiz about Britain because Pamela recently became a British citizen and Taika is dating an English woman. Aldon also talks about her show, Better Things and Waititi reveals how he got the directing gig with Marvel.
