The Late Late Show with James Corden, 5-8 September 2022

On The Late Late Show with James Corden, James welcomed Luke Evans, Dr Phil, The Interrupters, Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Simone Biles, Jessie Baylin, Kris Jenner, Kylie Jenner, and Jeff Scheen. Let's take a look at this week's outfits from the show.

Luke Evans and Dr Phil

Luke Evans is a Welsh actor and singer who began his career in the West End before starring in his breakthrough film Clash of the Titans in 2010. He is best known for his role as Bard the Bowman in Peter Jackson's Hobbit trilogy. He has appeared in many other movies, including Immortals, The Raven, The Three Musketeers, Dracula Untold, Beauty and the Beast, and Professor Marston and the Wonder Women. On television, he has starred in The Pembrokeshire Murders and the Hulu miniseries Nine Perfect Strangers. He released his debut album, At Last, in 2019. 

On the show, Luke dressed in a casual outfit of a rust-coloured slim-fitting turtle-neck sweater with brown corduroy trousers and white trainers with shoelaces to match his jumper. He looked very relaxed with his sleeves pushed up to show his forearms and chunky silver watch.  

American Television personality and author Philip McGraw is famous as Dr Phil. He hosts the advice show, Dr Phil. He holds a doctorate in clinical psychology though he no longer has a license to practice since he stopped renewing it in 2006. McGraw has written four self-help books, Life Strategies, Relationship Rescue, Self Matters, and Family First.

During his interview, Dr Phil donned a traditional slim-fitting single-breasted notch lapel dark blue suit. He paired it with a white spread collar shirt, deep purple tie, and matching pocket square. James wore his maroon-coloured single-breasted peak lapel suit with a matching tie and a blue and white striped classic collar shirt.

In this clip, Luke chats about driving a 1930s landrover in the Queen's platinum jubilee celebrations and then talks about his new film, the live-action remake of Disney's Pinocchio. Dr Phil discusses his programme being shown in many different countries and how some of his sayings are difficult to translate into other languages. 

 

 

Kris Jenner and Kylie Jenner

Kris Jenner, formerly Kardashian, is an American television personality, socialite and businesswoman. She is famous for starring in the reality television series Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Originally married to lawyer Robert Kardashian, who defended O.J. Simpson at his murder trial, Kris had four children, Robert, Kourtney, Kim, and Khloe. She then married Olympic medalist Bruce Jenner and had two more daughters, Kendal and Kylie Jenner. Kris owns a production company, Jenner Communications, and manages her daughters' careers. She has written two books, Kris Jenner... and All Things Kardashian and In the Kitchen with Kris: A Kollection of Kardashian-Jenner Family Favorites. 

On the programme, Kris wore a classic slim-fitting black and white checked pantsuit combined with a sheer white top that had a black pussy-bow collar and white lace ruffles to cover her chest. She kept her accessories minimal because of the bold print of her suit and only wore discreet stud earrings and a couple of small rings.

American media personality, model, businesswoman, and socialite Kylie Jenner is Kris Jenner's daughter. She is also known for appearing in the reality television series Keeping Up with the Kardashians, which led her to be able to launch her successful cosmetics company Kylie Cosmetics. She has two children with rapper Travis Scott and is the most followed woman on Instagram.

On the show, Kylie dressed in a high-necked 80s-style red mini-skirted dress with large shoulder pads to broaden her shoulders and make the boned corset detail of the dress at her waist look even smaller and cinched. The top of the dress was 80s boxy in style and was made to resemble a suit jacket with its sleeves coming over her hands and finished off with three decorative gold buttons at each cuff. The skirt of the dress was reminiscent of puffball skirts but toned down. Kylie continued the 80s theme with bold makeup and enormous costume gold and pearl pendant earrings. James wore his midnight blue suit with a subtle large green check. He paired it with a matching blue tie and a club collar pink shirt. 

This clip shows Kylie telling how her mum, Kris, delivered her first child Stormi. She goes on to share that her second child Wolf will be renamed, but she isn't prepared to reveal his new name yet. Kris talks about her twelve grandchildren and that she's already done most of her Christmas shopping! The pair appeared on the show to promote Kylie's new cosmetics line, the Kris Collection.
