The Met Gala 2025: Celebrity Style: Men
Share
Monday night, May 5th 2025, was one of the world's biggest nights for fashion. Celebrities walk the famous blue carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York every year to celebrate the Costume Institute's latest exhibit. This year's exhibition is titled "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style", and the theme for the gala was "Tailored for You". The theme is the first one in over twenty years to focus on tailoring and suiting. A-list celebrities flocked to the event to show off their interpretation of the theme. At A Hand Tailored Suit, we were incredibly excited to see the gorgeous tailoring on the blue carpet, including more exciting ensembles from the men rather than the classic black suit or tuxedo.
Lewis Hamilton
Racing driver Lewis Hamilton wore a white tailcoat suit by British designer Grace Wales Bonner. The tails of the jacket were embellished with tassels and embroidery. He completed the massively wide lapelled look with a matching white beret, black patent shoes with diamond buckles, and an intricately bejewelled lapel pin.
Barry Keoghan
Irish actor Barry Keoghan walked the blue carpet in a Custom Valentino military-inspired black suit with an embroidered and beaded stand-up collar and jacket cuffs, round gold buttons, and a black tassled red sash tied at his waist.
Colman Domingo
Actor Colman Domingo served up two Valentino looks for the evening. The first was a floor-grazing royal blue cloak with a structured pelerine covered in white (hopefully faux!) fur and gold and silver sequins. Over the top was a necklace with three giant teardrops encrusted with diamonds. His second outfit was less dramatic but no less fun. He wore a black and white checked jacket with wide, peak lapels, wide-legged grey trousers, a white and butter yellow striped shirt, and a black and white polka dot silk cravat that matched the enormous polka dot flower pinned to his left lapel.
Shaboozey
Singer Shaboozey, famous for "A Bar Song (Tipsy)", debuted at the Met Gala in a Robert Wun suit featuring a cropped black jacket with skinny, trailing tails and matching flared trousers with a woven wavy design. He paired it with an interesting turquoise beaded top and a large concave hat worn at a perky angle.
Pharrell Williams
Musician and Men's Creative Director for Louis Vuitton, of course, wore a Louis Vuitton creation. He paired a white shirt, black tie, and flared black trousers with an interestingly textured, pearl-encrusted, double-breasted white dinner jacket.
