The Olivier Awards 2024: Men's Style

The Olivier Awards took place on Sunday, April 14th, 2024, at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Multi-Olivier nominee Hannah Waddingham presented the awards. Established in 1976, the Olivier Awards celebrate London theatre. Winners and nominees included David Tenant for Macbeth, Mark Gatiss for The Motive and the Cue, James Norton for A Little Life, Sarah Snook for The Picture of Dorian Grey, Sophie Okonedo for Medea, and Tom Francis for Sunset Boulevard. Let's take a look at the celebrity attendee's style.

David Tennant

Good Omens actor David Tennant, nominated for Best Actor for Macbeth, rocked the red carpet in his usual flamboyant style. He chose a forest green velvet jacket exquisitely beaded with shooting stars and coordinating but plain velvet trousers. He paired the suit with a black shirt with gold triangular buttons that complemented the gold of the beads on his jacket.

Ivano Turco

Everybody's Talking About Jamie actor Ivano Turco dazzled in a long black gown with a trailing train and daring slit. The bodice was made of sheer polka-dot fabric with full-length pouffy sleeves and ruffles around the neckline. The bodice and skirt were divided by a flower-patterned waspy corset. Ivano finished off his glamorous look with pointed-toe white heels.

Andrew Scott

All of Us Strangers star Andrew Scott donned a conventional black suit with a twist for the awards. The jacket, featuring wide, peak lapels, was cropped for a modern touch. The matching trousers were slightly flared, and he completed the look with a sequin-covered metallic midnight blue shirt.

James Norton

Actor James Norton, known for Happy Valley and nominated for Best Actor for A Little Life, took to the red carpet in a Bottega Veneta tweed-like double-breasted suit. The jacket was slightly cinched at the waist, featuring flap pockets and wide, notch lapels. The trousers were cropped to show off his chunky ankle boots. The suit was paired with a classic white shirt with an over-large 70s-style collar and a traditional black tie.
