Taking place at London's Royal Albert Hall on the 6th of April, this year marked the fortieth Olivier Awards since Sir Laurence Olivier gave his name to the ceremony, making it an extra special evening. The event celebrates the best stage productions of the last twelve months. Before the ceremony began, guests, nominees, and presenters walked the famous green carpet in their sartorial best. Beverley Knight
British actress and singer Beverley Knight presented the awards ceremony with American actor Billy Porter. She walked the green carpet in a strapless black velvet column gown with an asymmetrical voluminous peplum at the waist. She accessorised with a white floral headpiece.

EastEnders actress Kara Tointon arrived at the ceremony in a black minidress covered in three-dimensional roses. She paired it with sheer black tights, a complementary clutch, and gold earrings.
