This lovely wedding image is one of our many favourite images we've had sent from our customers on their wedding day, wearing their custom bespoke suits as made by our team and looking great! Julie and Angie tied the knot back in 2019 and we loved tailoring both their suits that we're so different and individual.
During a home fitting for Angie's wedding suit, she opted for a white three-piece and a very modern take on bridal attire. The jacket was single-breasted in shape with one button for the fastening and two flapped pockets incorporated in the design. With a traditional welt breast pocket also featured, she accessorised this with a subtle showing of the pocket square and for the actual wedding day, styled the flapped pockets as double jets. Her waistcoat was double-breasted with a six-button front and sharp straight hem.
The waistcoat's neckline was V-shaped and styled at a great height to show underneath the jacket in a subtle and sophisticated way. The notch lapels provided a more relaxed feel but contrasted the smooth curved edge on the jacket front as it leads down to the hem and sits over the trouser waist nicely. The trousers were tapered at the hem with a front centre crease and sat over her cool wedding boots. Let's not forget the lovely message she chose to have monogrammed on the under collar too, so sweet!
Julie's suit was completely different in style and cut too, which made them both stand out so well on their special day. Julie opted for a grey ensemble with a tweed patterned jacket and plain cloth trousers to create a wonderfully balanced bespoke suit. The jacket was a double-breasted cut and constructed from a grey windowpane check cloth. With the wooden buttons arranged in a six-button formation (the matching buttons on the jacket cuffs too), the peak lapels were made with a round point that balanced out the shoulder line well, with two flapped pockets also included in her wedding suit. The trousers were very sharp with the defined centre crease and her hem sitting nicely over her tan shoes.
But it wasn't just the happy couple's suit we had the honour of making: we also tailored their best friend Claire's three-piece suit too for attending their wedding!
Claire's was a full Huddersfield green tweed ensemble with notch lapels on the jacket and a single-button fastening too, including two flapped pockets with a curved edge and single vent on the back. The waistcoat was also single-breasted with four buttons on the front and a notched hem, whilst her trousers were straight with sharp centre creases defining the garment too. Claire also accessorised with the matching Huddersfield tie and the lining selected was a two-tone purple paisley that paired beautifully with the green shade. It was a great pleasure tailoring all three of these suits for the special wedding day between Julie and Angie, whom we send our massive congratulations to! You all looked fantastic!
