The Ladies at Wimbledon's Final Week: Who Was There

After a year away from the famous green tennis courts, like many sporting events, the Wimbledon Championships are back. Over the course of the last two weeks from the tournament's starting date (Monday 28th June 2021), we saw many fantastic tennis players take to the famous green courts as they played for the famous championship trophies across all categories. Spectators up to a 50% capacity were allowed to attend the event as part of the government's test pilot events, as the number rose throughout with a full crowd attending the finals. It was a pleasure to watch some great tennis on screen once more and spotted in the crowds at Wimbledon were a few famous faces! Here are some of the ladies who attended the final week of Wimbledon 2021, dressed for such the occasion.

 

Ella Balinska

When: Day Seven at Wimbledon (5th July 2021)

Actress Ella Balinska sported a Ralph Lauren lemon yellow two-piece suit, paired with a bright summery lightweight shirt worn open collar. The actress styled her jacket over the shoulders for an extra chic finish to a smart/casual look, with the jacket's details including notch lapels, padded shoulders, a one-button front and slanted pockets. Her trousers were a double pleat finish with centre creases down to the hem that finished on her trainers and pockets on the front for a relaxed finish.

When: Day Eight at Wimbledon (6th July 2021)

Singer Jessie J looked cool in a intricately printed shirt and trouser set as she attended the eighth day of the tournament. The attire only needed the two colours of black and white so as not to overwhelm the refined prints that is involved within the outfit, many different prints at that too. The shirt is a very relaxed cut with the sleeves leading down into a tall cuff. The shirt's collar is small with the singer wearing the shirt open collar and the bottom half fastened to pattern match down the centre. The hem is a sharp point and curves up to the side seam, whilst the trousers are a wide leg cut and long to the floor.

Pixie Lott

When: Day Nine at Wimbledon (7th July 2021)

Singer Pixie Lott was spotted during day nine wearing a Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini summery gingham pink and white check dress with a V-neck. The puff sleeves were sheer with the length finishing at the elbows whilst the centre part of the dress was layered and gathered down the centre to provide a two-tone illusion to the outfit. Just like the bodice, the skirt was gathered and kept its shape with extra white netting underneath to create a sharp hemline on what is a quietly elegant summer dress for the championships.

Sophie, Countess of Wessex

When: Day Ten at Wimbledon (8th July 2021)

Members of the royal family have commonly been spotted at Wimbledon over the years and on day ten was Sophie, Countess of Wessex, spotted on the day. She wore a white long-sleeve ME+EM shirt dress with a small black polka dot design that was picked out with the black buttons used to fasten the dress and cuffs. The cuffs were a tall design with a two-button feature at the end of the sleeve placket which was gathered slightly to create a slightly looser shape. The bottom of the skirt included subtle pleats to create extra movement in the dress and a elegant finish to the dress. The band collar was thin and again subtle for the style of the outfit, also wearing it open collar.

Francesca Hayward

When: Day Eleven at Wimbledon (9th July 2021)

Ballet dancer Francesca Hayward was too spotted in the crowds at this year's Wimbledon as she opted for a two-piece white suit with a wide pinstripe design. The jacket was a double-breasted cut with sharp wide peak lapels and six black buttons on the front, with three of them fastened. The shoulders are soft and the sleeves fall straight down slightly long in length and with a 4-button cuff in black buttons also. The trousers are a straight cut and finish on the ankles to ensure her heels are not covered within the ensemble for an overall sharp and refined finish.

Pom Klementieff

When: Day Twelve at Wimbledon (10th July 2021)

Actress Pom Klementieff was pictured attending Wimbledon with Tom Cruise and Hayley Atwell as she layered up in a chic YSL ensemble consisting of a trench coat, mustard yellow blazer, black and white polka dot shirt and trousers. The trench coat was draped over the shoulders, designed in a double-breasted style with black buttons down the front, a notch lapel, sleeve belts and edged in a black trim. Her yellow blazer included sharp padded shoulders slightly oversized to create an angled shoulder seam. Sharp peak lapels and matching yellow buttons featured on the jacket whilst the black shirt was worn open collar, tucked into her ankle-length sleek trousers and finished with a black belt and gold heart buckle.

Emma Louise Connolly

When: Final Day at Wimbledon (11th July 2021)

 Model Emma Louise Connolly dressed for the final day of the famous championships wearing an all-white crisp two-piece suit with matching white blouse. Her jacket was finished in a double-breasted style with matching white buttons on the front and flapped pockets which sit low on the garment. Also on the jacket were soft padded shoulders and long peak lapels that sat high on the jacket, creating an elongated look overall when paired with the chic bootcut trousers. The hems of these trousers brush the floor and cover the shoes completely whilst also sitting high on the waist as the blouse is tucked in, subtly hanging over the top. The buttons are medium in size on the placket as it is worn open collar to expose the gold necklace layering.

Arlo Parks

When: Final Day at Wimbledon (11th July 2021)

Singer Arlo Parks was spotted also attending the final day of Wimbledon 2021 as she opted for a Ralph Lauren navy blue casual blazer, paired with a pair of black trousers and a long-sleeve printed top with a thin crew neck collar. Her blazer details were perfectly casual as the notch lapels are included with a slanted welt pocket, standard flapped pockets and a two-button front, the top on fastened. The buttons added on the jacket are in a gold metallic finish with the same style used on the jacket cuffs in a 3-button formation. The jacket leads into the hem with a rounded edge whilst the trousers are made with a centre crease.
