The Ladies' Attire at Wimbledon 2022: The Final Week - A Hand Tailored Suit

The Ladies' Attire at Wimbledon 2022: The Final Week

The famous grass court tournament of the sport returned to its famous SW19 postcode for 2022, with many of the top-seeded and highest ranking tennis stars playing over the annual two-week period to win the Wimbledon Championships. The sport is indeed entertaining to watch and certainly filled with drama and thrill; but the outfits are what we also look to take note of by the celebrities spotted in the crowd. The opening week definitely delivered on the smart/casual wardrobe front, and now we take a look at some of the stylish ladies' attires worn in the final week of Wimbledon 2022, with a few wearing Ralph Lauren.

When: Day Eight at Wimbledon (4th July 2022)

Fashion blogger and model Caro Daur sported a cool and chic attire of a navy blue blazer worn over a light blue shirt and tucked into a pair of pleated front trousers. The blazer features notch lapels and a slightly oversized fit on the shoulders for that casual feel, decorated with two gold buttons down the centre and smaller matching buttons on the jacket cuffs. A striped lining can be seen on the cuffs as she styles it with them slightly folded back to expose the single cuffs of the shirt. The shirt itself is a button-down style worn with the top button open, whilst the trousers feature a turn-up hem with a centre crease front and pockets down the side.

Actress Charithra Chandran's attire had a bit of a sporty element too as she attended the final week of Wimbledon. Her sky blue buttoned shirt was a relaxed fit, emphasised through the wide open collar and dropped shoulder seams, as the sleeves were rolled up to above the elbows. Her beige trousers were worn high on the waist and decorated with a navy printed scarf belt for that chic element. The pleats led down into a centre crease on the front and the turn-up hem once more, a bit of a different look from her denim blue matching shirt and trouser set worn in the first week of the tennis championships.

Embracing the green of Wimbledon was actress Gemma Chan wearing a sporty above-the-knee fitted dress. Majority of the garment was made from a two-tone green checkerboard dress, constructed with black and white sporty stripes across the sleeve cuffs and around the collar of the neck. An exposed zip was fastened fully from the neck down to mid-chest, whilst a thick black stripe outlined the shoulders from the neck to the sleeves too.

When: Day Eleven at Wimbledon (7th July 2022)

TV sports presenter and former athlete Denis Lewis' Wimbledon attire was also stylish and elegant as she donned a pale pink double-breasted suit, worn with a lace trim V-neck white top underneath. Her heels echoed the top perfectly as the jacket itself is designed with four black buttons on the front and left unfastened to strengthen the impact of the high-waisted trousers. Two flapped pockets sit below the waist on the blazer as the peak lapels are quite sharp but have a noticeable curve leading down into the centre front. The shoulders are softly padded and the trousers are a wide-leg cut with a subtle centre crease for that sharp, yet graceful finish to the suit.

When: Day Thirteen at Wimbledon (9th July 2022)

Singer/songwriter Ellie Goulding's attire on the penultimate day of the Wimbledon Championships consisted of a pair of white straight-leg trousers with a very light blue blouse tucked into the waist. Focusing on the blouse first, its design included a tall collar and gathered sleeves at the shoulders, leading down into a bishop sleeve falling just below the elbow. The elegant design of the blouse was contrasted through the cream satin side stripe that were featured on the trousers, again with this element of sportiness that was popular amongst the ladies' attires of Wimbledon this year. Belt loops were included on the waistband and the trousers displayed a subtle centre crease for a cool finish.

When: Day Fourteen at Wimbledon (10th July 2022)

Singer Krystal Jung looked sleek in a one-shoulder white top that was tucked into a pair of tailored white shorts. The shorts finished mid-thigh with a slight flare to the hem to add extra shape, whilst the front was finished with a centre creases to strengthen the tailoring. If the tailoring of the shorts wasn't sharp enough, then the outfit was paired with a black double-breasted jacket draped over the shoulders for that real chic finish. It created a powerful monochrome ensemble with its design including a six-button front and wide peak lapels.

Model and actress Poppy Delevingne stunned in a pastel yellow double-breasted suit with a six-button front. Thin jet pockets were also included on the jacket front, along with rounded peak lapels that were noticed thanks to the slight overlap on her bag strap. The light cream buttons complemented the colour of the suit well as subtle reinforcing stitches were seen along the lapel edge and down the trouser seams for extra detailing. The trousers were a wide-leg fit with a soft centre crease for that tailored finish with the hem sitting just above the ankles for an elegant finish.
