Clara Amfo
On the second night of the BAFTAs, radio presenter and one of the hosts for the awards, Clara Amfo, wore a tailored Rotate Birger Christensen oversized black jacket with a enlarged herringbone weave in the cloth and the straight leg trousers to match. Designed with peak lapels and a four-button cuff on the sleeves, the signature detail of the whole look is the fringe trim outlining the lapel and across the front of the jacket, adding extra texture and movement to the suit. The sharp centre crease on the trousers enhances the tailored attire more and when paired with the classic black heels, the look is 100% chic and suits Clara Amfo well.
Anna Kendrick
Actress Anna Kendrick virtually attended the ceremony as she presented one of the BAFTA awards on the night, and she definitely captured ceremony glamour in her Zuhair Murad pleated gown. The metallic gown with hints of red, purple and silver conveyed a Grecian appearance as the skirt included a thigh-high split and the wrap top was also pleated with a sweetheart neckline. The movement of the pleated skirt as pictured above is truly captivating as the colours can really be seen blended into one another, a lovely flow of colours and material for what is an amazing look worn by Anna Kendrick.
Priyanka Chopra
Actress Priyanka Chopra was also in attendance to present at the BAFTAs, whilst the film 'The White Tiger' in which she acted and was executive producer of, was also nominated in several categories. Her second outfit of the ceremony was a Ronald van der Kemp ensemble, consisting of a black silk jacket with high shoulders and a black plissé skirt. The difference of textures between the two garments is combined beautifully with pleated and hand-painted butterflies in the centre. The use of beads embellished onto them too is subtle but noticeable as the overall outfit for Priyanka Chopra is beautifully elegant.
Vanessa Kirby
'Pieces of a Woman' star Vanessa Kirby was nominated for her role in the film in the category Best Actress in a Leading Role and for the ceremony, wore a Atelier Versace metallic gown. The silhouette of the gown enhanced Kirby's tall form as the metal mesh dress included a spaghetti strap neckline and a thigh-high split. The design of the dress is simple, yet the colour and shine of the fabric is strong enough to make this look be one of the strongest and elegant pieces of the award weekend.
Bukky Bakray
For actress Bukky Bakray it was a great night, nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her performance in the film 'Rocks', but also winning the BAFTA Rising Star Award: and she looked beautiful in a mauve silk Prada gown. The one-colour strapless dress was enhanced through the asymmetric pleating and draping on the top and skirt, allowing the silks's shine and soft texture to really be conveyed. With the actress wearing long earrings that are gold at the end, Bakray's outfit was definitely one of the best on what is a memorable night for the rising star.
Ashley Madekwe
Actress Ashley Madekwe was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in 'County Lines', virtually attending the ceremony in a bright yellow cut-out Louis Vuitton gown. Designed with a halterneck and a separate panel to showcase the fabric's natural drape, it was a monochrome look that truly stood out amongst the others. The cut-out sections on the gown make the dress more modern and enhances Madekwe's form well, a dress that prepares us for the summer and one which she glistened in brightly.
Rose Byrne
Another virtual appearance at the ceremony was from actress Rose Byrne who rocked a 80-style two-piece sparkly Miu Miu suit. The cropped jacket itself in a boxy silhouette featured a strong shoulder line and satin detailing in the one-button fastening, welt pocket and wide peak lapels. The satin continued into the high waistband of the trousers, as the trousers themselves were of a loose fit, with pleating down the front that leads into the sharp centre creases. It was a tailored look we couldn't miss out, and Rose Byrne's confidence just shines through this embellished suit.
Emerald Fennell
Actress Emerald Fennell looked graceful in a Roland Mouret white organza gown as she was awarded two BAFTAs: Best Original Screenplay and Outstanding British Film for 'Promising Young Woman'. The dress which consists or multiple layers and draping is a structured style, made soft and elegant through the choice of cloth used to design it. The combined draped sections on the sleeves and waist as Fennell poses with her hands together allows the gown to be observed in further detail, noting the chevron design and texture. The floor-length design captures the elegant side of red carpet glamour well, and Emerald Fennell really looked elegant too.
