Hosted at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, the awards celebrated those in categories such as Outstanding Drama Series, Lead Actor in a Drama SeriesLead Actress in a Comedy Series and much more. As the red carpet was rolled out once more to welcome those nominated and attending, we were treated to more spectacular formal looks. Here are some of the most glamorous outfits from the ladies of the red carpet at this year's Emmy's, starting with:

Actress Anya Taylor-Joy's red carpet attire stunned all as she attended wearing a Dior ensemble for her nomination of Lead Actress in a Limited Series Or Movie through her role in the series, "The Queen's Gambit." The pale yellow dress worn underneath was floor-length, styled with a halter neck and a low cut back. The dress with a small fabric train on the bottom, was tied at the back of the neck and left behind a draped chain of pearls for the element of class and glamour. The subtle dress allowed the main opera coat to take centre stage on the red carpet, designed with a long train following behind her for a lasting fashion moment. A wide shawl collar can be seen on this coat as the actress wears it off shoulders and low on the arms.

The bodice is designed with soft drapes falling across the front and on the draped sleeves, creating a gorgeous line for her glistening necklace. The signature flared A-line skirt with natural pleating on the hem finishes above the ankle for a soft finish, the skirt also designed with pockets for a modern touch and the matching belt across the waist to really capture the vintage inspiration.

Also in attendance was American actress Ellem Pompeo, wearing a black shimmery Elie Saab velvet jumpsuit. The all-in-piece included some great features, including the elevated shoulders rounded off to match the soft texture of the piece and a subtle flare to the hem. The hem touches the floor, elongating the silhouette of the actress along with the embellished silver line design across the waist, chest and down the legs also portray this effect. It's a minimal piece of attire but one that is quite chic and very modern.

Designed with a low V-neck on the front and splits down the sides of the trouser legs, it was an outfit with great movement through the choice of fabric. Tall cuffs featured at the end of the bishop-style sleeves for extra drama and across the waist was a wide pleated waistband, the fabric folds contrasting the vertical pleating on the bodice.

Wearing a neon yellow gown from Vera Wang, it included a long train behind her which flowed outwards as she moved, creating such a dramatic shape to this elegant outfit. The spaghetti straps were heightened through the addition of silk flowers on the shoulders, whilst the sweetheart neckline formed the top of the fitted bodice. The bodice itself including ruching down the centre and the back a low cut, whilst the ruching continued to the top of the skirt and styled with pockets for a powerful yet graceful fashion moment.

The jacket is a six-button front, the buttons an embellished choice with the 3-button cuffs also matching. The notch lapels are small and cut low down to elongate the wide collar too for an extra refined touch. Structured shoulders contrast the soft draping of the flares on the trouser hems as they flare out from the knee and the centre crease ensuring an overall sharp, sophisticated finish.

The black suit was woven with a modern check design and the brand's letters scattered at each corner in the weave, a detail noticed as you look closer to the suit. The jacket itself is made with short notch lapels and two angled flapped pockets with a curved hem for a smooth finish. The shoulders are structured well, styled with a pair of matching straight leg trousers with a turned-up hem that includes a metallic button. Paired with a white shirt that features a curved collar and wide black tie, it's certainly a smart finish.

The design featured a pair of straight leg tailored trousers with a turned up hem and just brushing the floor for a chic finish. Her top was one full of fabric manipulation and pleating, styled with a one-shoulder design and a long sleeve on her right side. It's finished with a cowl back draping down halfway before a long fabric train flows out for an elegant touch. Across the waist and bottom of the chest is a horizontal pleated section to contrast the fabric draped over it, providing many details to a monochromatic look.
