As always, the glamorous award season continues and this time, it was the turn of the Tony Awards 2022. Recognising the achievements and performances on the iconic Broadway stage, the awards commenced on Sunday (12th June 2022) in New York City, occurring at the Radio City Music Hall in New York. The stars arrived in glitz, glamour and smart attires for the event, and we've spotted some real stand-out pieces from the gentlemen attending the 75th Annual Tony Awards.

Actor Andrew Garfield looked the part in a black Tom Ford double-breasted attire, consisting of a velvet jacket and accompanying black trousers. The shirt was silk and in the pleated evening style, the finish and texture matching the finish of the front six buttons, as well as the binding of the wide peak lapels and collar. An accompanying pocket square was worn in the welt pocket as two flapped pockets featured lower down, the top point positioned just above the bottom row of buttons. The shoulders were structured well to create a strong top line to match the sharp straight jacket hem, before the trousers were finished with soft centre creases on the front. The actor's look was completed with a matching velvet bow tie.

Actor Tony Goldwyn donned a light brown two-button jacket with wide peak lapels, which were outlined in a satin/silk finish which was also featured around the collar and the double jet pockets near the bottom. In the welt pocket was a folded white pocket square to match his white pleated evening shirt, finished with a classic collar and an accompanying silk bow tie fastened underneath. With four buttons on the cuffs, the actor's trousers were tapered to the hem which finished just above the brown shoes, finished with centre creases on the front for a smart finish.

Actor David Alan Grier sported a Brooks Brothers ensemble of a green tartan (Stewart Black design) check shawl collar jacket, paired with black evening trousers and a white evening dress shirt. He accessorised with a narrow bow tie and a champagne gold pocket square in the welt pocket, which itself was cut in a contrasting black fabric to match the shawl collar and pocket jets. The pocket flaps were pattern-matched whilst a metallic emblem button was the fastening of choice on the front of the double-breasted cut. The straight-leg trousers were finished with a satin side stripe to enhance the formality of the event as the hem finished over the top of the shoes to create a subtle break.

Wearing a light blue Burberry double-breasted attire was actor and writer Colman Domingo, styled in a three-piece monochromatic look that looked effortlessly cool at this year's Tony Awards. The jacket included six buttons on the front with the flapped pockets sitting just below the waist point and a welt pocket on the chest. Four matching buttons featured on the cuffs, with similar versions added to the single-breasted waistcoat. This itself sat quite high on the chest where the matching blue shirt and short collar were spotted underneath. The jet pockets on the waistcoat were angled, whilst the trousers featured pleating at the waist to create fullness in the silhouette and enhancing this more relaxed feel to the tailoring.

Jesse Williams

Actor Jesse Williams was nominated in the category Best Featured Actor in a Play for his role in "Take Me Out" and for the event, looked dapper in a black evening two-piece look from Thom Browne. The jacket was designed with contrasting satin notch lapels and a high two-button front, extra buttonholes spotted on the lapel, awelt pocket on the chest and two flapped pockets lower down for that classic look. The cuffs were arranged in the three-button style (with a fourth buttonhole on show) and an extra ticket pocket was also included on the jacket. The trousers were tailored in a straight cut and finished with a turn-up hem, the centre creases just about on show for that crisp appearance. As the actor accessorised with a small black bow tie on his white dress shirt and a white pocket square, it was the braces that were the sartorial talking point of the attire.

Bowen Yang

Actor and comedian Bowen Yang's statement jacket was quite subtle in its impact, as he sported a Brioni ensemble for the Tony Awards. The velvet jacket design featured a lovely gradient, starting off with black in the centre before gradually fading into grey and lighter grey shades to almost outline the garment. The wide peak lapels and collar were contrasting in black, along with the thin pockets lower fown and the buttons on the front and cuffs. In the welt pocket was a black pocket square to mirror the bow tie worn underneath the white shirt collar. The trousers included the traditional evening satin side stripes as they finished just above the shoes for a sleek finish.

Actor A.J. Shively was up for the Best Featured Actor in a Musical Tony Award for his performance in "Paradise Square" as he sported a teal blue two-piece suit from Paul Smith wide wide peak laplels. The jacket's two-button placement was situated in the centre to create a longer look in the body, with the buttons covered in matching teal fabric and aligning with the jet pockets. In the welt pocket was a green, white and orange pocket square, with the large orange bow tie pairing nicely. The shoulders of the sleeves were slightly rounded but don't distract from the soft tailored line across the top. The trousers are slim with a centre crease front leading down to the hem that brushes the shoes, whilst his white shirt was smooth in appearance with a covered button placket.

Myles Frost

Actor and dancer Myles Frost was a winner on the night as he took home the award for Best Leading Actor in a Musical for his performance in "MJ". His tailored suit was very modern with an asymmetric hem cut, curving up on one side and finished with a sharp right angle on the other. It's a double-breasted style with twelve buttons on the front (organised in a 6x6 formation) with a stand-up collar that also features smaller buttons at the front. Four fabric covered buttons are included on the cuffs with double jet pockets on the front that are surrounded by an additional fabric panel. The trousers are a slim fit with chunky satin side stripes and the hem tapered at the ankle; but the signature talking point of the attire are the shoulders. The epaulettes are heavily beaded and embellished with extra beaded fringing draping down over the sleeves, creating a fashion spotlight moment at the awards for the actor.

Sidney DuPont

Actor Sidney DuPont dazzled in gold as he was nominated for Best Featured Actor in a Musical for his role in "Paradise Square". The gold shade was more on the champagne gold side, whilst a deeper shade was featured on the tall cuffs and as shoulder panels at the top for that distinctive detail in the attire. A shawl collar was the style of choice on the jacket front, edged in black for a sharp outline before leading into the one-button front, also covered in black fabric. With a black pocket square sitting high in the welt pocket on the chest and a velvet bow tie worn around the neck, the jacket's short length provides more attention to the the straight cut trousers. The hem finishes over the shoes quite significantly in order for the gold decoration to be the statement detail on this part.
